There are companies that have banks of people that do nothing but research and article writing. The articles are then sold to the public with the understanding that the buyer may claim the article as their own. This is called Private Label Rights or PLR.

Buyer beware.

In editing a Private Label Rights Article to make it your own, start by correcting the grammar and spelling. You will find that a number of this type of article is quickly written and often by people whose first language is not English.

AdSense OR Nonsense?

 AdSense ads used on your web site can generate a very healthy income if used properly. However if you are not using them optimally, you could be leaving a lot of money on the table. 

By writing quality content articles, which are also keyword rich, or using articles available for republishing you can create pages easily and regularly, in your market, in which to place your AdSense code. 

Find some popular sub-topics in your market; meaning that if your web site was about dogs you would have articles about things that dogs use and need. Perhaps you would have an article about the different types of kennels, training techniques, toys, breeds and their purposes. 

You get the idea. 

 Also, write articles on often-searched-for keywords or phrase that pertain to your market. Select the ones that you see have more people clicking through to write articles about. Search engines are taking pride in the quality of their articles and what you will be writing should be up to their standards. 

Positioning of your ads on your web pages should be done with care.

Try to position your ads where visitors are most likely to click on them. According to research, one place that web site visitors look first when they visit is the top left. The links there are usually for getting around the web site, so when the AdSense ads are placed there they appear to be a navigation bar.

Keep in mind, these clicks will take the visitor off of your site before they have had a chance to see what YOU'RE offering.

Another popular place to put your AdSense Ads is toward the bottom of the page with a small relevant picture above each ad. The eye is drawn to pictures and this technique helps people to notice the ads. 

Banners and skyscrapers don’t do as well as the other formats that AdSense offers due to them being recognized as an advertisement. Which brings up a good point. 

People like to buy; they don’t like to be sold to. You want your ads to look like helpful content or resources… not ads. 

Use the AdSense editor to make sure that your ad’s background and border colors match the background color of your web pages, and the text color of the ads match the text color of your web pages content. You should notice that when the ads blend in, and are barely noticeable that the number of clicks on your ads will increase, as will your income. 

The AdSense program has a feature, called Smart Pricing that automatically adjusts the cost of an ad click using Google’s system of analyzing AdSense data. 

Smart Pricing warrants watching. 

If Smart Pricing shows that a click from one of your web pages is less likely to turn into an Online sale, or other business result for the ad publisher, the amount you earn per click in AdSense is greatly reduced. 

When Smart Pricing was introduced, some AdSense users saw their pay per click drop to as low as 3 cents a click, where before Smart Pricing, that same click might of earned them a dollar or more, this was quite a drastic drop in earnings. 

What AdSense users didn’t understand is that one site or web page can trigger it, and once triggered it effects your entire account and every web page you have will now earn substantially less per click. Be sure that your pages where you place AdSense ads are current, and have solid content. These ads don’t belong in your Online family album or journal if not business-related. 

If Smart Pricing has already affected your earnings, try removing AdSense ads from your web pages a few pages at a time, the Smart Pricing system is evaluated each week, so it will take a few days to see if you have removed ads from the page(s) that triggered it. 

By knowing the techniques of optimizing your AdSense click-through rate and working them to your advantage, you should see an increase in your click-through rate. 

Also, AdSense has some excellent tracking statistics that allows webmasters and publishers to track their results across a number of sites on a site-by-site, and page by page. This tool will help you see which ads are performing best and help you to fine-tune your AdSense ads.
