Autoresponders are one of the most important marketing tools that you can use when you are conducting business Online.

This is where you offer your expertise on your business topics and from where you send your Online newsletter to keep your clients and prospects updated as to what is current in your market and business.

In fact, the only thing more important than your autoresponder is your opt-in mailing list!

Don’t think of this as lost money, think of it as an investment in future earnings.

Put a form to your autoresponder on the web page that your ads sends the prospects to. The object is to get them to fill in the form to receive the free information from your autoresponder with the understanding that they will also receive a free subscription to your newsletter on similar topics.

They have just become a warm lead to sell (or up sell) similar products and services to in the future.

But if you do it right, you get even more than that. Remember, give them the 'why' sell them the 'how'. The information that you give away should be used to promote your products or services. Even if it just has your affiliate links for products or services that are related to the topic of the free information, it is a way to generate extra revenue. 

Now, when you send emails to your list in the future, you can again promote your products or services. Just be sure to include valuable information in each email that is on the topic that they subscribed to as well, or you will have people unsubscribing from your autoresponder. If they subscribe for self-help info and you start giving them Internet Marketing products your list will evaporate into nothingness quickly. Stay on topic.
