Your Flubber, The Doctor's JoyA lot less of the U.S. population were dangerously overweight ten years ago, yet then our doctors were telling us to lose the extra girth. Why the change? Why is this happening? Has carrying extra fat now been proven good in some laboratory? Ummmm.... N0. Some studies have said it's because doctors are not taught about nutrition, but that doesn't seem logical, since they have gone through numerous years of formal study of the human body in order to have earned their degrees. How about this thought... Your flubber fattens their wallets. Before you get upset with me, think about it. There are more doctors per capita today than at any other time in our history. And have you noticed that now they are all specialist that can't make a singular decision, but must pass you around to their circle of associates? Notice how each of them charges you for an office visit, tests and another visit to discuss the test results? All of these doctors need sick patients to treat, or
they'll go out of business. And yes, it is a business. Dr. Welby has left
the building. I've said it before and I'll say it again, get off of your butt, get to know your family and do something. Maybe, take the kids to the park and actually play with them; or go for a hike in the woods, toss a frisbe, or a bike ride. Don't be the one to feed the doctors' wallets and be responsible for your own early demise, or that of your children. Go play, and think before you eat.
